Tree Plantation World Environment Day

For a clean and green environment and to celebrate the World Environment Day in Niamey, Mission has organized a special plantation drive on June 6 and planted Neem, Mango and other saplings in the Chancery premises. The event was commenced by planting of saplings by Ambassador. Ambassador has emphasized the importance of trees and its cultivation especially countries like Niger which remains dusty and sandy most of the year. He stated that trees and plants will help in controlling the desertification, in reducing dust in the air, and also keeps up water-table of the earth.
