Inauguration of Solar Photovoltaic Plant of 7 MWp capacity in Malbaza, Niger

Under the India-Niger Cooperation, a Solar Photovoltaic Plant of 7 MWp capacity has been installed in Malbaza, Niger. This project has beenfunded by the GoI under the Line of Credit (LoC) arrangement. This plant has been set up at 25 acres and 21,231 Solar Panels have been installed. This project has been executed by M/s Sterling & Wilson, Waaree (JV), and M/s WAPCOS are the Project Management Consultant. The total cost of the project is US$ 24.70 million which also includes charges of WAPCOS. There will be approximately 30,000 houses electrified. This is the first Solar Power project completed after the launch of International Solar Alliance. This project is in line with the Government of India’s commitment to Africa. This project is being inaugurated on 24 November by the Prime Minister of Niger in Malbaza
