Celebrations of the 143rd Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel: Mission celebrated the 143rd Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as the “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) in the Chancery on 31st October. The celebrations began with welcoming of invitees by First Secretary (HoC), followed by Keynote Address by Ambassador, and screening of Documentary Film on Sardar Patel.

2. A brief clipping on Inauguration by Prime Minister at Kevadia of the ‘Statue of Unity’ was also screened to the invitees.

3. A Quiz on the life and works of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was organized and prizes were distributed among the winners.

4. In his Address, Ambassador highlighted the struggles and achievements of Sardar Patel and lauded his contribution to the freedom struggle and India’s integration.

5. The Khadi material received from the Khadi and Village Industries Commission as also suitably displayed to the invitees for publicity purposes. 6. There were over 50 invitees from Indian expatriate community, Friends of India, and from local community. Refreshments were served to invitees.
