Laying of Foundation Stone Ceremony – Mahatma Gandhi International Convention Centre on 3 October 2018 in Niamey

Mahatma Gandhi International Convention Centre - Laying of Foundation Stone Ceremony: The official ceremony of the laying of Foundation Stone for the construction of Mahatma Gandhi International Convention Centre was held in Niamey on 3 October 2018. Niger President, Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers, Ambassador of India to Niamey, CEO of M/s Shapoorji Palloonji, Diplomatic Core in Niamey and other invitees are witnessed the event. The President of Niger and Ambassador of India to Niger H.E. Mr. Rajesh Agarwal laid the first foundation stone at the site. President thanked Prime Minister Modi and Government and People of India for their support. The Governor and Culture Minister of Niger wholeheartedly thanked Government of India efforts for construction of the Convention Centre in Niamey. The upcoming African Union Summit in 2019 in Niamey will be held at this Convention Centre.
