Setting up of India Corner at AMU

Setting up of India Corner At Abdou Moumouni University (Niamey): Ambassador of India H.E. Mr. Rajesh Agarwal visited Abdou Moumouni University in order to set up an ‘India Corner’ on 13 November. The ceremony held at the Meeting Hall of Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences wherein around 120 students, administrative staff, etc. were present. Mr. Yahouza Sadissou, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of Niger, was the Chief Guest. Former Prime Minister, and a few Members of Parliament from Nigerien Parliament, were also invited by the AMU. Three Nigerien students, who have already completed their courses under the first phase of PAN African e-Network, were awarded Medals and 15 students Degrees by the Education Minister. Subsequently, 48 books were gifted to the Chancellor to set up the ‘India Corner’ in the Library of AMU. The Chancellor appreciated Embassy’s gesture of gifting the books.
